Self defense stories this week from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Minnesota, Virginia, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina, Maine, Tennessee, Oregon, Montana, South Carolina, Connecticut, Wisconsin and even South Africa ... gun grabbing mayors, not wanting facts to intrude, hold their 'victim disarmament summit' and deny a seat to the National Shooting Sports Foundation ... the fascist governor of Arizona signs a 'self defense bill' but the Senate fails to overide her veto of an 'emergency' gun seizure bill ... pol in Oklahoma is also in favor of "emergency" victim disarmament. On the bright side, pols in New Hampshire come to their senses after intense lobbying from gun rights groups and support self defense. Also on the bright side, (no matter what you think of his ideology) President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is promoting citizen militas and arming his countrymen.

2AM News: The week in review March 26-April 1

Second Amendment News Digest

This week's digest is a day early, as I have a relative in hospital out of state and wanted to get this out before I left town. As of the end of the week, 48 states now have concealed carry laws! Only Illinois and Wisconsin continue to ban concealed carry. In other legislative news, Stand your Ground passes the Alaska Senate, and still under debate in the Alabama House. Self defense stories from New Hampshire, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, Florida, Ohio and Colorado. News from abroad, in Venezuala, a mayor wants to arm the citizens of his town against crime (kudos!) while in South Africa gun owners get the runaround on renewing their licenses by the Friday deadline, while police destroy thousands of guns.
