The week in review: Oct.17-22

Good news from the dismal swamp of DC, as 'Congress OKs gun industry lawsuit shield ' and 'Bush finally does something right ' (that protects the gun industry from frivolous lawsuits intended to drive them out of business), from Georgia, where 'Houston County commissioners held off on approving an ordinance Tuesday that would ban residents from firing a gun within 300 feet of an occupied building' (due to determined organizing by a local resident, who packed the commission chambers with gun rights supporters) from Brazil, where the national victim disarmament bill is 'likely to be shot down' (due to the publicity efforts of the 'pro-gun lobby'), from Wyoming, where the ATF backs off threat of background checks, and Alaska where gun freedom takes effect Wednesday! In Baton Rouge, the Sheriff ' fesses up on FEMA gun ban ' (hopefully the voters will take heed and vote this fascist out next go round).

Self defense across the nation, in Maine, Ohio and Texas home invaders 'get what's coming to them' from armed homeowners, in Georgia a Marine is 'in the right place at the right time' to capture a crazed assailant in a WalMart store ... in South Carolina, an elderly store owner fends off an armed robber and in North Carolina a customer shoots a robber at a night club.

Horrible news in the publik schools ... students are being asked to sign a 'victim disarmament pledge ... another reason to get your kids OUT of the publik school system before their minds are permanently warped.

A great new action idea this week, 'My Bill of Rights Project' which plans to create 'Bill of Rights displays to be placed on public lands throughout America, beginning with those sites where displays of the Ten Commandments are currently found' ...(so folks can see the REAL basis of the 'law of the land')

Til next week

Mary Lou
