The week in Review Sept 3-10

For those who thought it would never happen in America ... gun confiscation began in New Orleans on Friday. Yes, really ... look at the video yourself. (New Orleans gun confiscation video) Yes, it is 'blatantly illegal' ('New Orleans gun confiscation blatantly illegal ' by Dave Kopel, 'A quick civics 101 lesson ' GeekWithA.45). No, the NRA has not done anything, not even made a statement.

In other news, folks across America continue to use the Second Amendment right to self defense .... in the disaster areas of Louisiana and Mississippi, in extraordinary times, as well as in the 'unscathed' areas of America (Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, California, Texas, and Arkansas). If these folks had been disarmed, like the folks still in New Orleans, who have now lost everything, including their right to self defense, they'd also be victims with no name.

Yes, the line in the sand for many has been crossed. Now what?
